The sanctuary of Montserrat Benedict was founded in the year 1025 and offers a mystical backdrop of the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia, who is consecrated in the Basilica of the monastery. The small monastery soon began to receive pilgrims and visitors who contributed to the dissemination of stories of miracles and wonders performed by the Virgin. You will have free time to visit the audiovisual room where images of the history and creation of the monastery are projected. The choir of Montserrat is one of the oldest choirs of singing children in Europe (14th century). The days that there is singing you can admire its magnificent performances, although you must reserve a place in advance in order to avoid the risk of not getting a place. The calendar of performances is subject to the school calendar and to special events of the choir and the monastery.
